My recent work is informed by rhythms and patterns I find in nature. I am attracted to organic spaces that beguile through a sense of movement, immediacy, and density of information: a backlit thicket, a streetlight refracted through tangled branches, or a carpet of leaves woven into the forest floor.

I never reproduce these spaces directly, but instead combine their visual cues with my own sense of whimsy and syntax. My goal is to find the delicate balance of intent and abandon that yields pictures at once surprising and improbable, yet still possessed of a strict formal logic- one that is both mine and of the pictures' own invention.
